Dental Staff

Dr. Kim has been a lifelong resident of Baltimore County.  Graduate of St. Paul’s School ’92, Loyola College ’97, and Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, University of Maryland Dental School ’01.  Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Kim completed a general practice residency at Christiana Care Health Services in Wilmington, DE.  Dr. Kim also completed his training in dental implants at the Misch Implant Institute with a fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Formally a clinical instructor of restorative and general dentistry at the University of Maryland Dental School, Dr. Kim spends his workweek in private practice.  His free time is spent enjoying the outdoors with his young family.

Summer is the practice manager and John’s wife. She has been working with John since 2010. She started out as an Orthodontic Assistant for 5 years and then met John in 2007.  They were married in 2009 and had their first daughter. It was then that she made the decision to leave orthodontics and come manage the practice. Their daughter Ava was very much a part of the practice in the beginning as well. For a year she was here with them twice a week and the patients have watched her grow up.

Summer says “I have not only seen our office grow but our patients and their families as well. What I enjoy most is making them a part of our family. We have an awesome staff and take pride in fulfilling our patient’s dental needs. John is a caring person and excellent at what he does, he makes our patients feel comfortable and makes people SMILE.”

Summer enjoys spending her time outside of work with their two children Ava and Ryan and their dogs Brie and Pippi.  She tries to get in some family time any chance she gets!

Marissa joined our team in January 2018. She has a dedicated career in customer service.  Marissa has worn many hats over the years which helps her understand what is best for our patients.  She has experience as a cosmetologist, customer care banker, stay at home mom and now our full time patient care coordinator.  She takes prode in helping, caring and making sure that every encounter with our office is pleasant and the best you have ever had at the dentist. Marissa has a loving husband and a beautiful daughter. 

Marissa says, ' Dr. Kim and Summer are family, Summer and I are childhood friends, and I am so happy to join this wonderful team.' 'Dr Kim takes pride in his work and always puts his patients needs first.'

Tracy was happy to join Dr. Kim's wonderful practice in February of 2014.  She has worked in dentistry for over 25 years first as an assistant and then as a dental hygienist after earning her BSDH from Old Dominion University in 1997.  Tracy’s top priority is to provide her patients with a high standard of quality, gentle care and to partner with them in achieving their goals for optimal oral health. 

She happily resides in Monkton with her amazing husband and their three loud, crazy and totally awesome boys.  When Tracy is not working with Dr. Kim she is helping her husband with their restoration business and managing their boy's busy schedules.

Leslie joined Dr. Kim’s office in May of 2021. She graduated dental hygiene school from BCCC in 2010. Leslie’s passion is to work with patients on their dental needs and goals to help guide them to a healthy smile they love.

Leslie moved to the area from western Maryland in 2004. She currently resides in Felton, PA with her husband and two dogs. She spends her free time camping and going to concerts.

 
Since joining the practice, Leslie can see how much Dr. Kim and his team truly care for their patients.  

Justine joined Dr. Kim's office in 2016. She has been an active dental assitant for 5 years, graduating from DATS and becoming DANB certified in 2012.Justine's main goal is helping assist Dr. Kim in providing the best dental care in a comfortable and relaxing environment. When not in the office she enjoys spending her free time with her puppy Zoey, family, and friends. Justine says, 'Dr. Kim and Summer care for their patients and employees as if they were family.
